About Kurushe Diyeve

Born in 1971 in Etsha 7, Botswana, Kurushe Diyeve has lived a life deeply rooted in tradition and resilience. After her early years in farming millet, beans, and groundnuts, she turned to the art of weaving in 1984 under the guidance of her mother. By 1990, Kurushe had joined a basket-making workshop in Etsha 2, marking the beginning of her professional journey as a basket weaver.

Today, Kurushe is a proud member of the Etsha Weavers Group, where she continues to create baskets that carry both beauty and cultural heritage.
